Il y a comme un air de fête dans l’école depuis quelques semaines… Les enfants ont célébré Thanksgiving en épluchant et coupant courges, carottes, pommes de terre et poireaux pour la soupe collective qui a fait le régal de toutes les babines et bobines. Nos cuisiniers en herbe ont même impressionné la représentante de l’état français aux Etats-Unis, Madame la consule Anne-Laure Desjonqueres, en visite à l’école, qui a remarqué et félicité leur créativité.
Durant ce mois de novembre, les élèves d’élémentaire sont allés au musée admirer les œuvres de Van Gogh pour une expérience extraordinaire en immersion 3 D. Ils ont remonté le temps et parcouru la vie de l’artiste néerlandais dans une rétrospective haute en couleurs.
Et pour le spectacle de fin d’année en préparation, nos comédiens et chanteurs répètent avec enthousiasme et excitation. Les mamans confectionnent des tenues adorables qui, pour sûr, feront leur petit effet le grand jour. On a hâte de vous retrouver bientôt pour célébrer cette fin d’année.
Avec tous ces préparatifs, il y a décidément un peu de magie dans l’air, d’ailleurs « n’entendez-vous pas déjà les clochettes tintinnabuler ? »

There has been a festive mood in the school for the past few weeks… The children celebrated Thanksgiving by peeling and cutting squash, carrots, potatoes, and leeks for the community soup which was a treat for all the tummies. Our aspiring cooks even impressed the representative of the French government in the United States, Madam Consul Anne-Laure Desjonqueres, who noticed and congratulated their creativity, while visiting the school.
During the month of November, the elementary students went to the museum to admire the work of Van Gogh for an extraordinary 3D immersion experience. They went back in time and traveled through the life of the Dutch artist in a colorful retrospective.
Now, for the Holiday show, our actors and singers are rehearsing with enthusiasm and excitement. The moms are putting together adorable outfits that are sure to impress on the big day. We look forward to seeing you soon to celebrate the end of the year.
With all these preparations, there is definitely a bit of magic in the air, really, like in the French song, “can’t you already hear the bells tinkling”?
